Cultural Treasures and Historical Sights

Rich in history, Hadeland offers a wealth of cultural gems for you to discover. From medieval churches to contemporary art, there is much to explore. Visit Hadeland Glassworks, founded in 1762 and still in operation today. Now a major attraction, this experience center features two galleries, ten shops, and five eateries, and offers activities and events for the whole family like glassblowing.

If you’re interested in contemporary art, the Kistefos Museum is a must. This unique museum innovatively combines a sculpture park and gallery with industrial history. You’ll find it inside “The Twist”, a spectacular sculptural building that also functions as a bridge – and is an impressive attraction in itself. Closer to the hotel, take a walk across the square to the Sister Churches, dating back to the 1100s, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the region’s past.
